Do You Need a Gamecube Memory Card For Wii?

I have some old Gamecube classic games i want to play on my Nintendo Wii. I don't have my old memory cards, do i need it for it to work properly? 

Gamecube games will work with the Nintendo wii regardless if you have a memory card or not. There is no virtual option to create a memory card, you will need to actually plug it in if you want to save. You can't save on SD cards or normal Nintendo Wii ones, they got to be original Gamecube ones. So the answer is yes you do require them.
