If you notice that the bass in your car from the subwoofer is to loud for your liking, you might want to turn it down so that its less boomy. Some drivers are unaware that they can turn down a car subwoofer and its not a fixed level of volume set by the installer. Usually, there is a setting on the car stereo that allows you to adjust the amount of bass. There is also another way to do it, which you will find out about today.
1) Open the trunk.
2) Look at the amplifier, see if you can spot the 'Gain' control.
3) Play a song and set the volume on CD player to your normal listening levels.
4) Head back to the amplifier and adjust the gain accordingly. You can make it either higher or lower adjusting the bass to how you want it to sound.
