Car tweeters can sometimes sound really harsh to our ears. With piecing highs and treble, you are going to leave your ears ringing when you have finished listening to your music. You want to turn down the harshness before its too late and you have damaged your ears.
1) Find the audio setting in your aftermarket headunit.
2) Select 'Equalizer'.
3) Look at the sliders at the very right. They are the higher frequencies that control the tweeter. They will be labeled around 10 to 20 K.
4) Adjust these so that they no longer sound harsh, i say around - 3DB without losing sound quality.
