If there is no sound coming out your PS4 Controllers speaker and its not working, you can try resetting it. Sometimes the software that operates the different functionalities can play up and not response correctly. I have fixed many controllers that have come in to repair with this simple fix, so definitely please do give it a try. Before attempting the reset, you should ensure that the master volume is turned up all the way to the maximum volume level.
1) Switch off the PlayStation 4 console.
2) Look at the back of the gamepad, you will see a small reset button.
3) Using something like the end of a pin or pen push it down for 10 seconds and release.
4) Power on the console and reattempt to test speaker for sound output in games.
