If you have connected your small PSP camera attachment to the system, its not working and you get the following error message 'Connect a Camera that is compatible with the PSP system', the gold metal contacts probably require a quick clean. This is the common 80108d50 error that many users face that causes the camera to not get detected at all and does not work. Sometimes dust and dirt can get into the micro usb connector at the top of the console causing problems.
1) Remove the camera attachment from the PSP console.
2) Get a cotton bud and clean the USB slot as well as the two gold pins on each side. Blow in the slot as well.
3) Clean the contacts on the camera that connect directly with the PSP console.
4) Re seat camera and reboot XMB.
